Interior designer
Trained in how a space functions — layout, flow, space planning, lighting, materials, and even structural changes like moving walls or reworking a kitchen or bath. Designers shape both the structure and usability of a space.
Interior decorator
Focuses on the visual and aesthetic — furniture, paint colors, accessories, and art to enhance an existing space. A designer can decorate; a decorator isn't trained to do the designer's structural and planning work.
Designers design the space; decorators make it beautiful. I do both.
